On those days when all you want to do is slip on a tracksuit and not put any more thought into it, think again. With its matchy matchy super powers, slipping on a suit can be just as easy and lazy as slipping into your favourite leisurewear combo. Simply pair with your favourite band or slogan tee for casualwear, or a bralet for evening wear, no extra thought required. Who would have thought we’d be taking style inspiration from Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother?
Red, pinstripe and especially pastel, the SS18 catwalks saw suited bodies in their dozens, and the high street has taken note. Luckily for you, I’ve done all the hard work for you and rounded up my pick of the best ones out there, including two of my personal favourites which I have been wearing to death lately. So without further ado, prepare to suit up, because after all nothing suits us quite like a suit.
1.
Suit – Primark
Earrings – Accessorize
Top – H&M
Shoes – Clarks
What could be more SUIT-able for summer than a linen suit (see what I did there?)? This Primark suit is the perfect casual style for those sunnier days.
2.
Suit – Boohoo
Earrings – Next
Bralet – Hollister
Bag – Michael Kors
Shoes – Boohoo
Everything lilac is never a bad thing. Never. Especially now that it’s one of the biggest colours for this summer, this gorgeous tailored lilac suit is part of Boohoo’s Zendaya edit, I ordered it as soon as they restocked it in my size! I’ve styled it with a bralet and heels here, but you can just as easily pair it with a white t-shirt for day-wear.
3.
Topshop – £95.00
Pyjama set or suit? The world may never know. Either way, you’ll look cute wearing it. The great thing about this option is that you don’t even have to choose a top to go underneath as it looks great buttoned up. Lazy girl styling, done.
4.
PrettyLittleThing – £40.00
Obviously, there had to be a pink suit. I just can’t resist a pink and white pinstripe! This suit fulfills all of my Legally Blonde dreams, it’s everything I need to be the next Elle woods trying to get by at Harvard Law School. But it’s also great paired with a white lace bralet for Friday night drinks, so that’s great too.
So, that’s my round up of the high streets best suits. I’m realising now that they’re all quite girly so let me know if you’d like me to do a slightly less pink and frilly version with some styles you can wear right into the colder months! Until next time, thanks for reading and hope you enjoy suiting up as much as I do!
